Simple habits extend your bean bag's lifespan significantly. Fluff and reshape it weekly to prevent fill from settling unevenly. Spot Cleaning by Material
Polyester and Microfiber
Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth — don't rub, as this pushes liquid deeper into the fabric. For stains, mix a small amount of mild detergent with warm water and gently dab the area. Faux Leather and Vinyl

Faux Fur and Corduroy

Velvet

Machine Washing Removable Covers
Several of our products have machine-washable covers. Always check the product page for specific care instructions. General guidelines: use cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent only. Never use bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry completely — heat from a dryer can shrink or damage covers. When and How to Refill
Over time, EPS beads compress and your bean bag loses firmness. Signs it's time to refill: the chair feels flat, doesn't hold its shape when you sit, or you sink to the floor. Refilling is simple: unzip the inner liner, pour in new beads, and zip it closed. Use our EPS Bean Bag Refill for standard bead-filled chairs, or our Recycled Memory Foam Filler for denser, more supportive fill. A 5 lb bag typically refills one 36-inch chair; larger sizes may need 10 lb.
Protecting the Inner Liner
The inner liner holds the fill and is the most important structural component. Never open the inner liner around children or pets — beads are small and can scatter. If your liner develops a leak, replace it promptly with our Polyester Bean Bag Inner Liner. A good liner prevents fill leakage and extends the life of your bean bag significantly.
Outdoor Bean Bag Care
Outdoor bean bags need extra attention. While materials like those used in our Outdoor Bean Bags collection are waterproof and UV-resistant, prolonged sun exposure degrades any fabric. Store outdoor bean bags under cover or indoors during harsh weather and off-season. Wipe down after rain to prevent mold, and ensure they're completely dry before storing.
When to Replace vs Refresh
